Frozen Fun

This was a long, cold winter, so we took advantage of some "frozen" activities.

Ainsley had a lot of fun with the new sled that she got from Santa this past Christmas.

Naturally, she was nervous for her first real sledding experience, but after the first time down the hill, she didn't want to stop!

What kind of frozen winter would it be without seeing "Disney's Frozen on Ice?"

And here's...Ainsley on Ice!  Ainsley's first ice skating experience.  She was a little shaky on the skates, but Daddy was there to help.

Hey, this is better!

Look at her go!

Blessings for Owen's Baptism

On December 28, Owen was baptized at our new church, Church of the Gesu in University Heights. We asked our siblings, Meghan & Brian, to be Owen's Godparents (as they are for Ainsley), and Owen wore the same gown that I wore for my own baptism.

We were excited to learn that His Excellency Archbishop Michael L. Fitzgerald would be celebrating the Mass, and thus, performing Owen's baptism (not everyone gets to be baptized by an archbishop!). He is currently serving as Scholar in Residence at John Carroll University and also supports the congregation at Gesu, so we were lucky to have him at Owen's baptism Mass.

We were so happy that our family could join us for this special day, as Owen received the sacrament of baptism and was welcomed into the church.

After the ceremony, everyone came back to our house for cake and Christmas cookies.

Happy New Year!

We rang in 2015 with our friends, Sarah & Darren. It's a fun time with friends, and a great way to celebrate New Year's Eve together as a family.
